Title: [lovers] I prostituted the words to love you once more
[lovers] I prostituted the words to love you once more is a project that consists of creating boxes of light with text engraved by the inkless printing of the typewriter.
In these screens / cards, legible and unreadable text, right and inverse, contaminate the translucent space of the paper.
In a world where the intimate contaminates the public without assuming itself as an attack on integrity or privacy, the morality of words is measured by what it reveals itself, and what it exposes itself without revealing.
In the essential and poetic value of language, duplicity coincides in the precariousness, non-integrity and poverty of the word sexualized and functional.
In the communication and simultaneity of the crude word, concrete and biological, and in the word of poetic will, the will to live interconnects in each chapter and in the four organisms.

Elías Merino & Tadej Droljc
Local: Convento santo antónio
from: spain & slovenia
Is an audiovisual project created by Elías Merino and Tadej Droljc. It’s inspired by virtual ecologies – unstable morphological spaces that emerge from an interaction of co-existing unrelated entities with the void.
They create multi-scaled audiovisual objects that are cross pollinating, mutating, adopting and fighting for their space and existence. Their existence appears to us as fractured narratives in the perceptual phenomena that resemble a chain of synchronised chaos.
Is a Spanish-U.K based sonic artist, researcher, and multidisciplinary practitioner. His recent and ongoing projects are included in a certain range of different aesthetics within installation, composition and exploratory digital sound, that Elías develops under different monikers. From algorithmic abstract computer music, to contemporary unusual electronics, or instrumental music.
Elías is involved in different collaborative projects such as Ogive (with Chris Herbert), or Synspecies (with Tadej Droljc).
Is a Slovenian interdisciplinary artist and creative coder who works in the field of electronic music, computer-generated audiovisual composition and other forms of intermedia art. His recent work is focusing at what he calls a pluralistic approach to real-time audiovisual composition, where various hierarchies between sound and image co-exist inside individual compositions.

For iTernity is an audiovisual installation based on the famous ballet solo The Dying Swan. But there is no physical dancer anymore. This swan is uploaded into the ‘cloud’, where she is everywhere at once and for ever. Can you catch the dance of the eternal dying swan? Try to follow her and maybe you‘ll start to dance with her.
For iTernity is inspired by the virtual world. Our data is omnipresent on the internet and our profile photos never grow old. Maybe we could even say, we have finally become immortal. But we’ll always need a screen to intermediate between these physical and digital realities.
While one person can only see a fragment of reality, together we might be able to see the bigger picture!

Audiovisual installation that aims to make the public reflect on the relationship we currently have between the real world and the virtual and how increasingly the latter is present in our lives. InterWorlds can be understood as a portal to and from other worlds, a fine line between the real and the virtual, a synchrony between this universe and [other] parallel worlds.

Miguel Neto (audio) and Rodrigo Carvalho (visuals and programming) explore since 2010 the relationship between sound and image, through shows and audiovisual installations. They depart from an imaginary strongly influenced by science fiction, interspersing with the most current scientific discoveries, merging reality and fiction into a narrative of its own.

"um recorte no escuro"
local: Chafariz da bica velha
The unsettling presence of a bas-relief, whose origin dates to the long lost Convento da Graça, brought us to this fountain. The gesture of placing here this Moura, floating above the water, was received by us, centuries after, as a message. This message appealed, paradoxically, to remembering and forgetting.
Places are made of stories, that people tell through time. On the other hand, myths are stories which time tells, as long as there is enough time in people to understand its particular language.
What kind of stories does time tell us in Algarve?
In wells, in streams and in caves, we heard time speaking of the remembrance of the dead, and of an Algarve that exists between worlds.
The enchanted Mouros that inhabit the minds of the Algarve have little to do with those men from the North of Africa that once roamed these lands. We attribute to MOVROS, celtic word to signify the dead, supernatural beings and apparitions, the truthful etymological origin of the word Mouros.
The trail of the Mouros is intertwined with the water path. And following that path, little by little we understand, that the path itself is the provenance of the disassembled myths that surround it

The Pidutournée duo seeks, with practical ideas and provocative language, to contribute to a sustainable future. The result is a number of eco-friendly objects built with local organic materials – stones and logs – that come with recycled or reused materials – paper, cardboard, glass, among others. Their pieces are produced using archaic and artisan techniques, giving rise to unique and functional objects that question the current perception of the use.
